August inspirations ...

Ming, KY and I met up for our quarterly dinner at TGIF and since Ming just came back from a holiday in Japan, I made her a little card with a Japanese-y theme. Naturally the three geisha girls depict us, in no particular order.
And I also made this for KY, my ex-roomie in college (who's one hot mama, btw). She's turned 30 this year and this is just my way of telling her that she's still definitely one hot chick! My sick sense of humour needs to be excused :p
Once in a while, I run into an artists' block (is there such a term?).
So there I was feeling creative and my fingers were itching to create something, but I was too lazy to work on anything elaborate. With the help of my trusty camera, a tripod, and a colour printer, (plus the coloured pens, UHU and colour pencils), this is what I whipped up for HL this year. I have to admit that this is different from the usual cards I make, but not too bad for something out of the ordinary. :)
What do you say to a girl who loves shoes and is flying off on a honeymoon?
Kick up your heels and have fun, of course. :)
MissyK loves shoes. And for a girl who is as shoe-crazy as she is, it was relatively easy to come up with an idea for her birthday card. And as every girl knows, you can deal with anything if you have the right shoes ... ;)
Wedding cards are always fun to make. I made this for my friends M&D who got married end of August. It took me quite a while to come up with this idea because I wanted to draw something cute, yet not corny. This was what I created. I really like that the embellishments and stardust made the bride's veil and dress, as well as the groom's top hat pop up. I also like that my little hearts make it seem like the bride and groom are standing on a sprinkle of red confetti.
