Birthday scrapbook attempt 2: A mini version ...

In occasion of my friend HL's birthday, I made her a little minibook and sent it all the way down under. Wasn't too sure whether it could reach safely as I sent it by normal mail though. I even had to sign a declaration at the post office to make sure I wasn't sending anything illegal.
I guess the people at Pos Malaysia have not seen minibook cards before. :p

My theme for the minibook was "Celebrate YOU". That's what birthdays are all about anyway.
This is what my front cover and the overall package looks like.
I accompanied HL to the optometrist one weekend before she left, to get her prescription contacts. I brought along my camera too, since I had to drop it off at the camera shop for repair. So while waiting for her stuff, we were fooling around in the shop and I snapped this picture (and the one in the next page). I like that candid pictures like these really capture real moments of joy.
Opening up the first page gets you this.
I'm not that wise, but simple advice like these I can give :p
I had an idea of a woman relaxing in a bubble bath. At least THAT is my idea of relaxation. Better still if I had a book in hand and music playing in the background.
Page 2; Some 'wise' advice from not-so-wise me.
And if you pull out the pages, you get an accordian-styled minibook.
I like combinations of dark brown, pink and blue. I think they make very cheerful colours, yet look sophisticated. Plus smiley faces always make me happy. :)
Flipping over to the other side, this is what you get.
The end.
