Mother's Day and my mum's birthday are like a package deal, since both falls in the month of May. Every May since I was a little girl, I hand make a card for my mother. The stress, the hunt for inspiration, the late nights working on it, and the satisfying end result ... It has become more of a tradition and I love it because it is the one thing I can do for my mother.
For this year's card, I learnt to make spiral flowers.
Not too bad for a first attempt, if I may say so. It's actually pretty simple once you get the hang of it, but requires a lot of patience and perseverance because it does get quite tedious and you just want to chuck everything aside. But I really do love how the roses turned out, especially the tiny pink ones.
My mother is so amazing because she is so many things. When I grow up, I want to be just like my mother.
I would be happy if I were only half as amazing as she is.
