First try ...

Although I've been making cards for a really long time, I've never actually sent in a card before for any contests. Inspired by the GetSketchy #69 challenge,  I thought I'd give it a try. So the idea is to follow a sketch provided and work around it.
Last weekend when I met up with my friend K, we reminisced about how we used to write each other super lengthy snail mails during our university years. With technological advancements these days, snail mails are a thing of the past but once in a while, it's always fun to receive something in the letterbox other than bills.

K and I don't live in the same city and since she's feeling a little down at the moment, I so want to be there to spend some time with her and give her a hug. But since I can't, I made this instead. I'm imagining myself popping out from her mailbox shouting "surprise!" :)
