Kimono-inspired card ...

Another order from VV for her aunty from her twins.
Keeping with my floral theme, I decided on no more flowers. Instead, I used flowers as my backdrop, topped with some brown lace-like flowers which I cut and pasted to create some contrast. And because my flower paper looked like it belonged on an elegant dress, I thought of kimonos. Don't ask me why, it just came into my head. :)

Sometimes I don't draft out my ideas. I just make them up as I go, as in this case. I like the fact that my kimono-inspired card feels like opening a little present. Or a red packet.
Maybe next time I should incorporate giftboxes into my portfolio.
Keeping with my yellow and cyan theme, I cut out little butterflies. Two butterflies = two girlies, get it? :)
Lame, I know, but they blend in. I made them look 3D, just as if the butterflies were perched on the leaves.
Opening up the flaps, there is a little page for my customer to write her note. There's not a lot of writing space for this particular card though, but cards like these won't look nice and delicate if they are too big. I suppose the fonts don't really match with the elegant style of the card but I was too lazy to dig out pens to write. :p
